Endoscopic Spine Surgery

Dr. Shahrukh Bengali is a physician specializing in endoscopic spine surgery, bringing advanced training in ultra-minimally invasive spine procedures to Epic Pain Management. His approach focuses on identifying the least invasive treatment appropriate for each patient, with the goal of providing meaningful relief, restoring function, and helping patients return to the activities that matter most to them.

Dr. Bengali completed his medical degree and anesthesiology residency at the University of Florida, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a Multidisciplinary Pain Medicine Fellowship with an Interventional Spine subspecialty track, followed by an additional 12-month fellowship dedicated to Endoscopic Spine Surgery at the University of Florida. His advanced training included extensive experience in endoscopic and minimally invasive spine procedures and multidisciplinary collaboration with neurosurgeons and spine surgeons.

Dr. Bengali is also actively involved in research and education focused on advancing endoscopic spine care. His academic work has included awake ambulatory spine surgery, endoscopic lumbar decompression, anesthesia approaches for endoscopic procedures, and strategies to improve patient recovery and same-day discharge. He has presented his work at national and international spine and pain medicine meetings.
For Dr. Bengali, successful spine care is about more than treating pain. It is about helping patients regain function and get back to work, family, exercise, and everyday life. Outside of medicine, he enjoys basketball, volleyball, skiing, and spending time with family.
